The voice behind the studio
Meet Rifte.
A performer who understands your voice.
Nikolay “Rifte” Ivanov is a singer, vocal coach, and founder of Riff-Off and Riff Vocal Studio. He brings firsthand stage experience to personalized coaching for your voice.
From the stage.
To your session.
When I performed “Somebody to Love” during The Voice audition process, three chairs turned. It was a big moment, but it was only one part of the story. Behind that performance were preparation, nerves, and the ongoing work of understanding my own voice - the same mix of discipline, doubt, and discovery that so many singers experience.
That’s the perspective I bring to our sessions. We work on technique, but we also make space for you: your sound, your goals, and the moments that feel challenging. Whether you’re exploring your voice or preparing for a demanding performance, my aim is to help you understand what’s happening, find practical ways forward, and make your next step feel clearer.

“It wasn't until I started taking lessons with Rifte that I began to understand how much I have to work on when it comes to singing! Within the first month of his coaching (and my practicing), I've been able to open up my voice and become more confident using chest voice. I'm also working on singing with emotion and different voice qualities. Rifte will never pass up an opportunity to help you improve - he can skillfully pinpoint specific problem areas and will work with you tirelessly until you've got it down!”
